Charlotte was born in Oxford where she spent her early childhood

She attended the Arts Educational School in Tring, Herts and it was while studying there that she made her professional debut in 1977 in The London Festival Ballet's version of The Nutcracker.

Her first television appearance soon followed (1978) in Enid Blyton's Famous Five for ITV. This set her on the path for an interesting, varied career in theatre, voiceover, TV and film.

Charlotte lives in West London with her partner Simon Hinton and their three children Jacob, Louella and Jonah.
